MARKET NEWS

Remember…
The Market is extending their hours! The Market will now be open from 4:00 to 7:00pm!
Having said that, if you place an order with us, PLEASE remember to pick it up on Tuesday. As I am so grateful for your orders, I also have a family at home waiting on me too! We cannot hold orders, especially cold items due to limited refrigeration space, so please be courteous and come for your order.

WOW! What wonderful weather we’re having! The morning air is crisp and I’ve seen a few leaves changing! I just love Fall!

As I’m sitting here with my morning cup of coffee I’m reminded of our featured Grower of the week….

This is a family business that takes pride and love in each hand roasted batch they produce! I’m hoping to get her out here for Market so you can sample her delicious coffee!

Highlighted Grower of the Week!

JavaGenesis Coffee Roasting is a small batch craft coffee roaster located in Bethlehem, Georgia. Their roast philosophy is to roast each bean to bring out the best characteristics of the coffee. Your coffee will arrive with the roast date on the package so you will know that you are drinking coffee at the peak of freshness. Whether you choose a medium or dark roast coffee, a single origin or blend (coming soon) or regular or decaf this means a great cup of coffee for you! Let them help you “Discover the Fresh Roast Difference!”*_

Each week, I want to remind you who our Grower’s are and why they are so special!

I mentioned before that we are expanding the Market and adding new items!
Remember we have Kombucha available! If you are not familiar with it, Kombucha is a naturally fermented tea with natural probiotics! It has been around for centuries originating in Asia. It is said to have healing properties and because it is naturally fermented, is a great support for the digestive system. When your here, ask me for a sample! I’d love your feedback!

If there is something you’d like to see in the Market, please let me know!*_

CLG:  Opening Bell: Squash, Coffee, Apples, Green Beans...

Good afternoon,
We’ve had lots of rain, and now abundant sunshine, so many crops are producing nicely. Housekeeping note: Our market DOES NOT CLOSE during the winter months! We are usually open 50 weeks a year. This year we will be CLOSED the Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov 28) and CLOSED the Friday after Christmas (Dec 26). Be sure to tell all your friends about the ONLY market in Conway that’s open year-round. Thanks, and have a great week!

From ABC Nature Greenhouse & Herb Farm:
We will be turning in our plant board license so will no longer have hardy woody plants. This is the last week to order the following: Blueberry bush $7, Blackberry bush $7, Pomegranate bush $25, Hardy kiwi vine (male & female) $35, and goji berry vine $10.

Check out all the Featured Products and use the SEARCH field on the main Market page to quickly find the items you want.

Come early on Friday for the best selection from the EXTRAS table.

The market is now +OPEN +for orders. Please check your email about 5 minutes after you place your order to make sure you get an order confirmation. Thank you for being a valuable part of CLG!

Have a great week!
Steve

Market News

Welcome back to another week of locally grown and made products. You may notice this email and the confirmation messages are coming from a new email address. For some reason, Bellsouth has marked my original email as spam and was preventing some messages from being delivered so I had to change to a new account. Please add this new address to your contacts.

Other news for this week:
Healthy Harvest Bread brings several varieties of apple cinnamon and streusel breads to the Market.

Nuance Coffee & Tea has added a 2nd Cascara (Coffee Cherry Tea) to their offerings this week. Cascara, Las Lajas, Perla Negra has notes of: Tart and sweet with apple cider, golden raisin, cherry cordial. They have also added 3 varieties of Yerba Mate’. Yerba Mate’ is a South American herb that is very energizing. It can be re-steeped, several times, before the energizing qualities are gone. Check them all out in the “Tea” section of the market. Enjoy!

Carrots from Rocky Glade Farm make their appearance this week.

Apples from Rainbow Hill Farm include Fuji, Jonagold, Mutsu, Red/Yellow Delicious and Winesap.

There are plenty of other products available this week. Browse the categories to see what your will find.

Middle Tennessee Locally Grown:  It's Time to Order from Manchester Locally Grown Farmers' Market

Manchester Locally Grown online farmers’ market is now open for ordering.

We still have lots of summer and fall vegetables available from White City Produce and Greenhouses, Solace Farm, and Frontier Family Farms.

Basically Breads and Doorstep Bakery have wonderful breads available.

Weaver Farms pork products are plentiful on the market.

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse anemones, asters, ferns, herbs, and coral bells are good additions to your fall perennial border. Now is the ideal time to plant all perennials: cooler evening temperatures (and daytime too!) will develop strong root systems for good winter survival rates and prolific spring bloom.

Our other farmers have herbal bath & body products, local honey, fresh-laid chicken & duck eggs, and plenty more here.

  • PLEASE do not write out your checks ahead of your market pickup. Growers can sometimes remove items at the last minute, affecting your invoice. Please wait until your total is established at market.
  • If you do not receive an order confirmation within 5 minutes, your order has NOT been placed in the system. Try logging back in and see if there is anything in your cart. If so, press the Place Your Order button; then you should receive an e-mail to confirm the order. E-MAIL tnhomeschooler@yahoo.com OR CALL US at (931) 273-9708 if the problem persists so you will not be disappointed on market day.

Take a look at our offerings and support your friends and neighbors who produce these quality items on their own farms. Remember: ordering will close on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

(L to R) Mini Cinnamon Amish Bread and Sourdough Bread from Basically Breads, Purple Aster Plant from Dogwood Valley Greenhouse, Pork Chops from Weaver Farms, Arugula from Frontier Family Farm.
