Broccoli, Fig, and Gooseberry Soup

Vegetarian!

Ingredients
2 cups Broccoli florets
2 Dried figs (chopped)
1/4 teaspoon White pepper
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon Masala powder (without red chilli)
1/8 teaspoon Asafoetida
1 teaspoon Ghee
Salt to taste
2 whole Gooseberries

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Heat the ghee/butter in a pan and add the broccoli, 4 cups water, turmeric powder,and asafoetida. Cover and cook until somewhat softened.
  2. Add the figs, gooseberries, and, Masala powder and cook until the broccoli has fully softened.
  3. Add the white pepper and salt, puree the soup with a handheld blender to form a fine puree, then serve.
